Friends of Philadelphia,
We are reaching out to you because as residents and stakeholders in Philadelphia and supporters of Raza Properties you deserve to have your voice heard when it comes to high stakes rezoning. We know you love Philly as much as we do and we want to see it continue to thrive, grow, and prosper.
This Thursday, April 20, 2017 10:00 am in City Council, Bill 170-005 is up for a vote. This bill amends the zoning maps in the area surrounding Ingersoll/Thompson, 16-19th (as well as others) from RM-1 to RSA-5.
The bill is not a law yet, however if it is passed it will have grave and stifling effects on development, revitalization, local economics, and overall wellbeing of the area. We are desperate to discourage it being passed due to the devastating consequences for Philadelphia.
We urge you to please consider attending this Thursday to voice your concern and/or to display your disapproval of this bill. If you attend you will have an opportunity to sign up to speak in opposition if you choose to do that and petitions will be signed.
If you have questions or concerns or want more information about the proposed changes please reach out we are eager to help in any way we can.
